Tony brings to the team a wealth of knowledge and experience in the restaurant business. His over 35-year food service management and proprietor history (18 years with Mary Brown's), has provided him with a keen ability to effectively execute on every level of operations.
Tony’s career started out with a steak house chain, where he traveled the Maritime region as a 'trouble shooter', quickly turning troubled operations around in terms of customer service and profitability. At only 23, Tony became the youngest Executive General Manager in that company, managing a number of multi-million dollar operations for 8 years.
Moving on to the next challenge, Tony joined with a multi-unit Mary Brown’s Franchisee as an Area Manager, with his group of stores earning many sales and achievement awards. Later, as the General Manager for our parent company, P.I. Enterprises Limited, Tony organized and oversaw high volume and profitable operations in the Mary Brown’s corporate stores.
Tony’s true passion for the Mary Brown’s brand, product and culture led him to national level as VP of Guest Experience. There, Tony introduced and executed multiple outstanding programs and menu innovations including Chicken Pop-Ins, Mini Mary, our Made Fresh from Scratch strategies, Mini Ops Booklet tool and our TellMary Guest program.
In 2017, Tony rose to the position of Vice President of Operations. He is focused on a collaborative approach with our Franchisee Partners and our Associates to make Mary Brown’s the best QSR chain, with the highest Guest satisfaction levels, in Canada.
