Safiah has a strong background in Business Development and Franchising, managing the end-to-end process for new Franchisees throughout her career – from interviewing all the way through to ownership. Previous to her role at Mary Brown’s, she managed all existing Franchisees in her former role at New York Fries and South St. Burger Co., where she worked for over 13 years, garnering valuable insights into the QSR industry.

Sean Sarrami joined the Mary Brown’s team in 2017, bringing many years of franchising experience to the role. He served as Brand Vice President of San Francesco Foods in Toronto from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, he was a multi-unit Franchisee within the MTY Group, a leading franchisor and operator of numerous quick service restaurants.
VICE PRESIDENT, INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Wael joined Mary Brown’s in 2018 to develop its international business after spearheading the international development of Second Cup Coffee, where his last role was Vice President of Business Development and Operations. Wael helped Second Cup International expand to over 40 international regions. Previously, Wael held senior management roles with an international company that held Master Franchise rights to multiple Food and beverage Brands.
MANAGER, FRANCHISE DEVELOPMENT
Lauren began her career at a leading dine-in restaurant chain, where at 23, she became the youngest General Manager in the brand’s franchise history. From there, she led a flagship, multi-million dollar restaurant in downtown Toronto, gaining valuable experience in working with multi-unit Franchisees. Lauren also has experience in charitable marketing as the Lead Sponsorship Manager for Corporate Partnerships which supported Sick Kids Hospital and many more North American Hospital Foundations. Prior to assuming her current role, Lauren spent two years as a Regional Marketing Manager with Mary Brown’s, overseeing Central Canada, multi-unit Franchisees and executing National Marketing Initiatives.
